2001

The Germany B2B company Wer Liefert Was? was acquired, as was the German directory company Windhager and the Polish directory company Panorama (in which Eniro already had a 49-percent holding).

Eniro acquired the Finnish telephone company Elisa’s directory operations in Direktia, Finland’s second largest directory company and the official publisher of such directories as the Yellow Pages (Suomen Keltaiset Sivut) in the Helsinki area and the leader in directory assistance services.

Scandinavia Online (SOL), which operated Web portals in several Scandinavian countries (e.g. passagen in Sweden), was consolidated in the Group through a public purchase offer. Eniro gained access to a well-established IT infrastructure and leading-edge expertise in IT applications and search functionality.

2002

Eniro acquired Direktia’s directory operations in Tampere, Finland based on a letter of intent issued in conjunction with the acquisition in 2001. A decision was taken to discontinue operations in the German company Windhager.

During the year, Eniro advanced its Internet position, primarily in Sweden, when the Private Persons A-Z service was launched on the Internet. The Yellow Pages service (gulasidorna.se) was ranked as Sweden’s best utility site by the magazine Internet World.

2003

Eniro acquired Respons AB, which operated the leading Swedish directory assistance service 118 118, and established the new market unit Sweden Voice. Eniro also acquired several directory assistance services in Finland. Operations in Ukraine were discontinued.

Eniro launched a new common search service in the Nordic region. On eniro.se, eniro.dk and eniro.fi, all search services were gathered in a single location. Eniro.se was recognized by the reputed magazine Internet World as Sweden’s best Internet search service.

Eniro signed a partnership agreement with Google allowing Eniro’s web searches to be based on Google’s search technology and web indexing.
