Offline Media
The business unit Offline Media includes the Eniro Group’s production of directories and other printed media. For example Gula Sidorna in Sweden, Gule Sider in Norway and Krak’s map books in Denmark. Offline Media is a reporting business unit with profit responsibility.
Eniro has a strong position in the directory market and is the market leader in Sweden, Norway and Poland. On the Finnish search market Eniro is the second largest player. In Denmark, Eniro is the largest supplier of local directories and the second largest supplier nationally. Eniro’s printed directories are well received and usage is high in all markets.
Printed directories will continue to have great importance for Eniro, even if Online is the area where Eniro makes the greatest investment. Paper is a strong information carrier that is in demand by users and it will remain so for the foreseeable future. Eniro estimates that the market for printed directories will continue to decline by 8–10 percent annually until 2012. However, the market for printed products is still active, and the directories will still supply a large demand among users and advertisers for many years.
The product offerings in Offline Media are continuously being developed to achieve increased usability and relevance. Innovative solutions and improved offerings for our advertisers help to stimulate demand for directories. In order to remain on the cutting edge of product development and to educate the sales force, a close dialog is maintained between advertisers and users.
