In Norway, Eniro’s offering includes the Internet services gulesider.no and kvasir.no, the regional printed directory Gule Sider, the local printed directory Ditt Distrikt and the directory assistance service Telefonkatalogen 1880. Most of this offering has its origins in Findexa, which Eniro acquired at the end of 2005. Findexa was Norway’s leading search company and, like Eniro, had its origins as a subsidiary of the national telecom operator. See related information to the right for Eniro’s entire product offering in Norway.

The market for search-related media in Norway is well developed, with strong competition, primarily for Internet users. For current information on Eniro’s market shares and user statistics, see the link under related information.

Eniro’s assessment is that there are 220,000 potential business customers in the Norwegian market. Eniro’s customer base consists of small and medium-size companies, as well as large companies and organizations. Some 70 percent of all Norwegian companies are represented in the Yellow Pages (Gule Sider), either in the printed directory or on the Internet and in most cases in both channels. During 2005, Findexa invoiced a total of about 143,000 customers.

Printed directories

In the market for printed directories, Eniro has a very strong position as a result of its purchase of Findexa at the end of 2005. Eniro has no major competitors. The market for printed directories has been declining in recent years.

Eniro’s largest product is the regional directory Gule Sider®, which is published in 13 editions. Gule Sider is distributed together with Telefonkatalogen, which contains an alphabetic listing of private persons. There is also a local directory called Ditt Distrikt® and a business directory Proff® that was previously marketed under the brand BizKit.

Internet services

The Internet market is growing strongly in Norway. Competition is high, with several local players, both local and global, well established in the search market.

Eniro has the most frequently used Internet services in the Norwegian market. Eniro’s network consists primarily of Gule Sider and Kvasir. Gulesider.no offers searches for company information and private persons, as well as a popular map service that shows locations and travel directions. Kvasir.no is focused on web searches and was merged during 2006 with Eniro’s previous search service eniro.no.

Directory assistance

The Norwegian directory assistance market was deregulated in 2002. The same year, Findexa took over the company that provided the manual directory assistance service Gule Sider 1880, which is distinguished as the most price-worthy directory assistance service in Norway.

Mobile services

In Norway, Eniro has a complete range of mobile services. Eniro’s largest SMS service in Norway is Gule Sider 1880. The mobile service wap.gulesider.no contains company information and telephone numbers and maps for companies and private persons.
